Dishing Up The Dirt
A 30K visitor/month recipe site — moved off WP and onto an AI-powered system she runs from her inbox.

The problem
Andrea Bemis runs Dishing Up The Dirt — a recipe site built around the vegetables she grows at Tumbleweed Farm in Oregon. With 30,000 monthly visitors and over a thousand recipes, it's a real publishing operation.
But it was running on an aging WordPress setup that was expensive, loaded slowly, and went down without warning. When WP Engine pushed her toward an even pricier plan, Andrea needed a way out — one that didn't require her to become a developer to run her own site.

What we built
- 01A new site that loads instantly — no more slow pages, no more downtime, no more complaints.
- 02A publishing workflow built around how Andrea already works — she drafts in email, Claude handles the rest, and the recipe goes live.
- 03A full migration of 1,000+ recipes, moved over automatically without Andrea touching a thing.
How we worked
Embedded, in three beats.
01
Scope
One working session with Andrea to confirm and identify the problem — an aging WordPress site.
02
Prototype
Within days, a new website matching Andrea's branding, with her WordPress content moved over.
03
Ship
In less than a month, we coordinated with the advertiser platform, polished the loose ends, and trained Andrea to operate the site.
Outcomes
By the numbers.
Andrea went from a platform that was bleeding her margins to a site she fully owns and operates herself — without ever opening a code editor.
The numbers tell the rest.
- 1 month
- to project completion
- 1,000+
- recipes moved over automatically
- 30k
- unique visitors now loading pages instantly instead of waiting
